Hi Thomas, I have recently purchased and assembled the OpenScanPi Mini. I have to say that I am completely new to the world of electronics, but not so in the world of photogrammetry. Despite this, I have assembled it, and everything works (motors, lights, Wi-Fi connection) except the camera. In the browser, when I put the Raspberry camera, it tells me that it cannot find the camera (and of course there is no preview). However, when I put the external camera, it tells me that the current status is ready (but then it does not shoot photos, although the whole process of turning the model and the camera does it correctly). I have checked the cables and everything seems fine. I have not tried with other cameras (DSLR or smartphone).
What I can do? If you need any pictures, please tell me.
Thank you very much for this magnificent work, and your help.
Hi, where do you type these commands to test the camera? I am using windows. do I remote desktop onto the Pi box using the ip address?
Edgar, siento decirte que no lo conseguí arreglar. Llegué a la conclusión de que la cámara que me habían enviado estaba estropeada... pero lo tengo algo abandonado. Lo siento.
Good morning, the camera is well connected in all three connections, as can be seen in the images 1 to 3.
I have executed 'sudo raspi-config' and enabled the camera (image 4)
When I type 'raspistill -o imagen.jpg' it answers like image 5; when I type 'vcgencmd get_camera' it says the camera is supported but not detected (image 6).
¿What can I do now? ¿It's broken the camera I bought?
When I bought everything, the SD card came with the files inside. I just had to do the "wpa_supplicant.conf.txt" file and WIFI works
Looks like the camera is not enabled:
Nov 26 09:19:57 OpenScanPi Node-RED[324]: picamera.exc.PiCameraError: Camera is not enabled. Try running 'sudo raspi-config' and ensure that the camera has been enabled.
How did you setup the SD Card?
Hi Thomas,
I've checked the connector on the camera PCB and it's ok.
So, I send you the Syslog (it's very long).
Thank you again.
Hi, could you copy the syslog file (see Update&Info Tab) and post it here or via email?
And could you double-check the tiny connector on the camera PCB, sometimes this one comes lose during the assembly:
And the external mode is ignoring the pi camera, which explains the "Ready" state, when you change the mode.
We will find a solution :)
Best Regads,
Thomas
