I've printed the base and ring in basic PLA, standard 0.2 mm height settings in Cura on an Ultimaker 3. These pieces comes out pretty nice but the fitting is not good, too tight. The ring is printed with brim and support, it doesn't seem that it is any brim residue that is the issue. Planning to print with finer quality (0.1 mm) and maybe a bit slower to see if I can get the measurements more exact, considering also printing the ring with PVA or breakaway as the printer is able to do dual extrusion. Does anyone have any best practice advice or settings tweak suggestions to make better prints? Considering redesigning the ring and base so they are not dependent on printing tolerances also, but that is a whole project in itself.
